Job Overview
Adani Group is seeking a dedicated Senior Assistant – ARFF to support emergency response and firefighting operations at the airport in Mangaluru, Karnataka. The role focuses on ensuring passenger, crew, and airport safety through firefighting, rescue operations, medical assistance, and emergency preparedness.
Key Responsibilities
Emergency Response
- Respond to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous material situations within airport premises.
- Perform firefighting, rescue, and emergency support services during critical situations.
Fire Suppression & Rescue
- Operate firefighting equipment using water, foam, dry chemicals, and other suppression methods.
- Conduct search and rescue operations in hazardous and smoke-filled environments.
Emergency Medical Support
- Provide first aid and basic life support (BLS) until advanced medical personnel arrive.
- Assist with patient transportation when required.
Operational Readiness
- Inspect and maintain firefighting vehicles, PPE, extinguishers, and emergency equipment.
- Ensure firefighting supplies and equipment are operational and ready for use.
- Participate in emergency drills, ICAO training programs, and response simulations.
- Maintain incident reports, training records, and shift documentation.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow firefighting regulations, airport SOPs, and emergency response guidelines.
- Identify hazards during inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Prepare accurate reports, logs, and compliance documentation.
Coordination & Teamwork
- Work closely with airport operations, medical services, and external emergency agencies.
- Coordinate with Duty Managers, ATC, and airport authorities during emergencies and drills.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Certification from an accredited firefighting academy is required.
Experience
- 2–3 years of firefighting experience, preferably in Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) operations.
