Job Overview


Amazon is hiring for the role of Financial Analyst 1, FOAA under ADCI Karnataka. The Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team works in a fast-paced and dynamic environment focused on delivering accurate financial reporting, accounting operations, tax compliance, and process improvements.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support month-end closing activities including sub-ledger closing, general ledger reconciliations, reporting, and balance sheet analysis.
  • Prepare month-end flux analysis for Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts with detailed variance explanations.
  • Apply accounting knowledge and professional skills to resolve complex accounting and reporting issues.
  • Ensure financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are properly documented and maintained.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations with GST returns and sub-ledger reports while identifying and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate with auditors and support audit-related activities for smooth completion of audits.
  • Support GRC compliance and internal control improvements with stakeholders.
  • Assist in new business or system launches, including UAT testing for accounting entries and financial reporting.

Basic Qualifications


  • CA qualification with 0–4 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in month-end closing, accounting operations, sub-ledgers, balance sheet reconciliation, GST/VAT compliance, and reporting activities.
  • Ability to use data to support business decisions.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA.
  • Experience in GST or VAT accounting and compliance activities.
