Job Overview


The Transfer Agency AVP will manage investor onboarding, AML/KYC compliance, fund documentation, investor registry maintenance, reconciliation processes, reporting, and transfer agency operations. The role requires strong knowledge of transfer agency functions, investor servicing, fund structures, and regulatory compliance across MENA jurisdictions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Handle investor onboarding and AML/KYC processing
  • Maintain investor registers and static data records
  • Process subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and switches
  • Monitor reconciliations and investigate transaction breaks
  • Manage investor, fund manager, and custodian reporting
  • Coordinate FATCA/CRS documentation and tax declarations
  • Support fund audits and transfer agency compliance activities
  • Publish pricing information to financial data vendors
  • Coordinate with operations, CRM, and fund accounting teams
  • Review transfer agency aspects of fund documentation and PPMs
  • Participate in automation projects, controls enhancement, and system testing

Required Skills & Experience


  • 5–7 years of overall experience in transfer agency operations
  • Minimum 3 years of transfer agency experience
  • At least 2 years in a team leader or managerial role
  • Strong understanding of AML/KYC regulations and investor onboarding
  • Knowledge of fund structures, share registry dealings, and FATCA/CRS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Arabic language knowledge is an added advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and deadline management skills

Preferred Knowledge


  • MENA regulatory AML/KYC frameworks
  • Bermuda and BVI AML/KYC regulations
  • Experience with Metrosoft screening and investor reporting systems
  • Understanding of fund accounting related to subscriptions and distributions
