About the Role


Etihad Airways is hiring experienced Captain A320 Instructors to join its growing fleet operations in Abu Dhabi. The airline welcomes applications from qualified pilots with Airbus or Boeing experience who meet the required criteria.

As a Captain, you will be responsible for the safe, secure, and efficient operation of flights while leading flight and cabin crew to maintain the airline’s operational standards. In the Instructor role, you will also support the training and development of pilots through simulator sessions, line training, and competency-based instruction.

Additional instructor compensation includes:


  • FSTD 4-hour session pay for TRI/TRE

Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure the safety and security of passengers, crew, cargo, and aircraft

  • Exercise full command of the aircraft during operations

  • Lead and manage flight and cabin crew effectively

  • Maintain operational efficiency and environmental responsibility

  • Support on-time performance standards

  • Deliver high-quality pilot training and evaluation

  • Act as a professional role model within the airline

  • Provide training system and course feedback

  • Develop pilot competencies and operational skills


Eligibility Criteria


Applicants must meet the following requirements:


  • Minimum 5500 total flying hours

  • Minimum 2500 PIC hours on multi-crew glass cockpit aircraft

  • Minimum 1500 PIC hours on the A320 Family

  • Must have flown the A320 Family within the last 12 months

  • Valid A320 type rating for at least 2 months at joining

  • Current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL

  • Current A320 qualification

  • Current unrestricted Class 1 Medical

  • Must be below 59 years of age at joining

  • English proficiency Level 4 or higher

  • Current TRI/TRE experience is preferred


Instructor Requirements


  • 3 years of A320 Instructor or Examiner experience

  • 1000 hours of FSTD training experience

  • 1000 hours of LIFUS/IOE experience

  • Strong technical knowledge and training expertise

  • Experience with MPL, Cadet Training, EBT, AQP, or ATQP is an advantage
