Role Overview


The Senior Manager – AQ Electricals & Electronics will be responsible for the development of commodity aggregates, starting from RFQ study, technical feasibility assessment, and TRSO, while following robust ProX processes. The role focuses on ensuring parts are developed in line with quality and quantity targets, meeting project milestones through close coordination with engineering teams, product lines, and suppliers.


Key Responsibilities


Advance Quality Strategy Execution


  • Implement action plans for part development strategies aligned with project milestones.
  • Support flawless product launches, capacity enhancement initiatives, and VAVE activities.

Advanced Quality Management


  • Lead outsourced part development activities for new projects.
  • Deploy and monitor action plans for part development against project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with ProX processes and escalate issues when required.
  • Execute plans for capacity enhancement, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Apply learnings from previous projects during development and PPAP stages.
  • Conduct physical verification and tool capitalization activities within defined timelines.
  • Perform supplier site reviews to verify regulatory and safety compliance.
  • Execute onsite PPAP activities, ensuring quality and capacity requirements are met.
  • Drive resolution of critical supplier quality issues through approved action plans.

Profitability Enhancement


  • Implement VAVE initiatives released by syndicated teams and ERC.
  • Coordinate and participate in supplier idea-generation workshops.

Supplier Development


  • Conduct onsite MSA assessments and release evaluation reports for new and existing suppliers.
  • Support alternate source development and supplier base rationalization initiatives.

People Management


  • Adhere to organizational training and development plans.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • B.E./B.Tech qualification.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in the automobile industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier development, manufacturing processes, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies, part specifications, part development, and quality tools.
