Job Summary
As an Associate Business Analyst, you will support business analysis and requirement management activities by working closely with analysts, senior analysts, and project leadership. You will help translate business needs into clearly documented requirements and contribute to the delivery of digitally enabled solutions. This role provides an opportunity to build foundational consulting and analysis skills while gaining exposure to delivery methodologies, tools, and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the analysis of current-state and future-state business processes.
- Assist in planning, preparing, and documenting workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and contribute to documentation using process models, story maps, data analysis, and document reviews.
- Help delivery teams by clarifying documented requirements and assumptions.
- Assist with iteration planning, backlog refinement, sprint activities, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support stakeholder engagement and maintain alignment between project teams and clients.
- Contribute to documenting business needs, dependencies, and constraints to support solution evaluation.
- Create and maintain requirement artifacts, including user stories, process flows, and functional documentation.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders to gather inputs for analysis and documentation.
- Support requirement traceability, accuracy, version control, and alignment with solution design and implementation.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of business analysis and requirement documentation practices.
- Understanding of project scope, objectives, and inception documentation.
- Exposure to Agile and iterative delivery methodologies.
- Ability to identify and communicate issues, risks, and clarifications.
- Structured thinking, effective communication, and strong collaboration skills.
- Ability to understand systems, roles, and system capabilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis using Excel.
- Ability to conduct market research and understand business requirements.
- Ability to use AI tools efficiently.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of enterprise or commerce platforms such as SAP Hybris, Salesforce, or similar solutions.
- Experience with JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Basic understanding of APIs and system integrations.
- Exposure to analytics tools.
Qualifications
- Graduation in any discipline.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in business analysis or requirement management.
