Overview
Amazon is seeking a Program Manager II to join the ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence Systems) team within its operations organization. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, capacity enhancements, and utilization improvements across transportation and last-mile delivery processes.
The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert in routing and sortation operations, leveraging data, metrics, and process improvements to optimize performance and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and own RUBL60 and Sort Grid utilization metrics across the region.
- Develop innovative solutions to address complex operational challenges.
- Build tools and mechanisms to support operational teams.
- Monitor utilization metrics daily and identify root causes for performance gaps.
- Analyze trends and operational behaviors to recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide scalable and sustainable solutions across the organization.
- Use route planning metrics to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Collaborate with technical and science teams to enhance route planning systems.
- Support the development of efficient delivery routes that maximize time utilization while maintaining sustainable workloads.
- Influence route planning strategies to improve route efficiency and fairness.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving business, finance, technical, and operations teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of program or project management experience.
- 3+ years of experience working with both technical and non-technical teams.
- 3+ years of experience driving process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience defining program requirements and identifying improvement opportunities through data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience delivering end-to-end projects and communicating results to senior leadership.
- 3+ years of experience driving process improvements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple organizational levels.
- Experience building processes, managing projects, and maintaining schedules.
