About the Role
The Contract Officer is responsible for supporting contract management activities throughout the contract lifecycle, from pre-award to post-contract compliance. The role ensures adherence to organizational policies and procedures, maintains accurate contract records, coordinates with stakeholders, and supports the timely execution and monitoring of contracts while safeguarding company interests.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Administration
- Monitor and track contract requests through all stages, from pre-contract activities to contract execution and post-contract compliance.
- Ensure contract renewal processes are initiated in accordance with contract management policies.
- Follow up with requesting departments on pre-contract progress and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation, review, and verification of contract templates, appendices, and supporting documentation.
- Raise contract requests through the designated contract approval system.
- Maintain and update contract management systems, archives, and records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with contract teams and relevant stakeholders to obtain required information, approvals, and confirmations.
- Coordinate counterparty confirmations and support contract execution processes.
- Monitor contract progress and escalate delays or issues in accordance with established procedures.
- Identify contractual clauses that may impact existing agreements and notify management as required.
- Facilitate reviews and endorsements for contracts involving multiple stakeholders.
- Collect and verify post-contract documentation and compliance requirements.
- Support contract performance monitoring and assist in identifying corrective and improvement actions.
Additional Duties
- Perform other contract-related responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required
- High School qualification with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of contract law and contract administration practices.
- Strong understanding of Ground Handling Agreements.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience in airline procurement.
- SGHA contract or commercial experience.
- Contract negotiation skills.
