About the Role
Conduent is looking for an Accounting Services Associate II in Bangalore, Karnataka. In this role, you will perform accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, compliance, reconciliation, and financial analysis activities based on established procedures and practices.
The position involves working with accounting and financial systems, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, supporting accounting processes, and contributing to operational efficiency. The role requires the ability to manage assigned workloads and timelines while working with moderate supervision and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports.
- Maintain accounting and financial records, including general ledger, regulatory, and management reports.
- Research the impact of potential changes to accounting rules on financial statements.
- Develop, implement, and communicate processes to comply with changing accounting standards.
- Provide accounting guidance on proposed transactions to ensure conformity.
- Prepare records and process vendor invoices while responding to vendor inquiries.
- Develop, direct, plan, and evaluate accounts payable policies and procedures.
- Process employee expense reimbursement requests when required.
- Prepare, verify, and report accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare analyses and reconciliations of bill runs to identify potential fraud.
- Ensure transaction entry verification procedures are properly followed.
- Prepare and deliver low-volume customer billing and respond to related queries.
- Analyze capital budget requests.
- Develop cost reduction and cost management programs to improve profitability.
- Review fixed and variable unit expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare expense analyses and monitor expense control and reduction.
- Produce progress reports and presentations for management and external stakeholders.
- Ensure reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
- Prepare consolidation journal entries and eliminate inter-company transactions.
- Consolidate divisional and subsidiary financial accounts.
- Conduct or assist with accounting project documentation.
- Process payroll checks, payroll taxes, and employee benefit payments.
- Evaluate current systems and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor employee benefit payments to ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare payroll expenditure reports.
- Maintain shareholder account records and support dividend payments and tax reporting.
- Respond to shareholder inquiries.
- Review, design, develop, and implement accounting and documentation systems and procedures.
- Coordinate the tagging of financial statements for regulatory reporting.
- Apply standard taxonomies and create customized taxonomies for financial statements, footnotes, and financial statement schedules.
- Review and document XBRL data tagging to ensure consistency and accurate financial reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all applicable policies and standards.
