About Four Seasons Hotel Doha


Located in the heart of Qatar’s capital, Four Seasons Hotel Doha is a beachfront urban retreat overlooking the Arabian Gulf. The hotel features a private beach and marina and is part of Doha’s West Bay business and residential complex.

About the Bartender Role


The Bartender is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team, dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to guests. The role also provides support to the Beverage Manager.


Four Seasons Hotel Doha is looking for a bright and passionate bartender who strives to deliver the Four Seasons experience to every guest. This opportunity is suited to a rising star who is ready to take the next step in their career and join a professional team in Doha.


Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu.
  • Ensure proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and Four Seasons standards.
  • Confirm guest orders, including special needs or requests received from lounge servers.
  • Check completed orders against the guest’s original order.
  • Take orders from guests seated at the bar and provide engaging descriptions of menu items, including their origin, taste, and preparation methods.
  • Maintain working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, Armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs, and specialty drinks.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Manage stock rotation in the bar using the FIFO method.
  • Keep bar counters, fridges, and equipment clean and well maintained throughout service.
  • Accurately close guest checks and process cash and credit card payments.
  • Properly settle voided checks and complimentary items.
  • Maintain the upkeep of bars, wine cellars, and dispense stores.
  • Participate in the monthly stock take.
  • Ensure beverage movement is controlled and consumption is properly charged.
  • Serve food items in the bar area.
  • Cut fruit and prepare beverage garnishments.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Comply with Four Seasons Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills


The ideal candidate should have:


  • An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to tasks.
  • General food knowledge.
  • Good personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
  • A degree or diploma in Hotel Management.
  • WSET certification, which will be an advantage.
