Job Overview


Qatar Airways is hiring a Data Engineer in Doha, Qatar. The selected candidate will be responsible for building reliable, scalable data pipelines that collect data from multiple sources, transform it into usable formats, and support business analytics and data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities


  • Build, deploy, test, and maintain highly scalable and optimized data pipelines.
  • Implement monitoring and logging practices for data pipelines.
  • Develop software programs or use tools to integrate large, complex, and diverse data sets.
  • Design and implement data tools to support analytics and data science teams.
  • Develop and manage data warehouses to ensure availability, scalability, performance, and security.
  • Build software programs or use tools for data cleansing and harmonization from multiple data sources.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant job-related experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud and cloud-based data engineering solutions.
  • Experience with data ingestion tools, data modelling, data visualization, and pipeline design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery data warehouse platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization for large datasets.
  • Experience with ETL tools, data virtualization, and semantic layer tools.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
