Join us as a Junior Accountant – Group Accounts Payable Services and play an important role in supporting financial processing, accounting accuracy, and reporting within a fast-paced, multicultural environment.


Key Responsibilities


As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for:


  • Generating financial entries and invoices.
  • Resolving proration, tax, and revenue accounting processing exceptions.
  • Processing incentive/ORC and refund payments.
  • Reconciling control accounts and clearing nominals.
  • Auditing documents and identifying discrepancies.
  • Raising under-collections.
  • Updating Masters (General/Nominals) in the Accounting System.
  • Responding to disputes in a timely manner.
  • Performing customer account reconciliations.
  • Escalating settlement delays.
  • Identifying and evaluating discrepancies and resolving queries with internal or external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining detective and prevention controls to help prevent inconsistent results.
  • Supporting the Supervisor or Officer in pre- and post-closing accounting functions and ad-hoc assignments.
  • Providing required information and responding to internal and external customer queries.
  • Processing invoices to ensure accurate and timely accounting and payments.
  • Supporting month-end closing and ensuring the validity of accounting to correct nominals.
  • Reconciling and analysing relevant accounts to identify anomalies or discrepancies within agreed time frames.
  • Ensuring the company’s books of accounts accurately reflect the correct position of transactions for the month.

Qualifications & Skills


To be considered for the role, you must meet the following requirements:


  • 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
  • Finance background preferred.
  • Working knowledge of office automation software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good analytical and investigative skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
