Job Overview


Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Azure Cosmos DB team within Azure Data Engineering. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale distributed database systems that power mission-critical applications. You will collaborate with engineering teams to build secure, reliable, high-performance, and scalable database solutions while contributing to the future of Azure’s operational databases.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in C#, C++, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.

Additional Requirement


  • Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hiring and every two years thereafter.
