ABOUT THE ROLE

The Coop Trainee will support the Fund Services team across a range of operational activities. The position includes reviewing work completed by offshore teams, supporting timely NAV submissions, maintaining financial information and helping ensure fund activities comply with relevant requirements and internal procedures.

The role also involves working with asset managers, property managers and real estate developers to collect information required for fund operations. The trainee will contribute to cash-flow monitoring, financial statement maintenance, issue escalation and client communication while helping the team meet changing business demands.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Fund Services activities and review work completed by offshore teams for accuracy.
  • Ensure NAVs are prepared and submitted to clients within agreed SLA timelines.
  • Help ensure fund activities comply with fund terms, regulatory requirements and anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Work with asset managers, property managers and real estate developers to gather operational data.
  • Monitor cash flows to support liquidity for operations, investments and distributions.
  • Maintain financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Follow company policies, procedures and operational requirements.
  • Deputise when required during the absence of the line manager.
  • Communicate relevant issues to line management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with company clients.


REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong educational background, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Excel Macros.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to drive tasks forward.
  • Ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to changing client deliverables.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a pressurised environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex issues.
