ABOUT THE ROLE

The SAP FICO Consultant will work across implementations, rollouts, enhancements, and ongoing support for SAP Finance and Controlling solutions. The role involves understanding business requirements, designing and configuring finance processes, and supporting areas such as financial closing, asset accounting, product costing, and COPA.

The position also involves working with finance teams, business stakeholders, and auditors while supporting integrations with SAP MM, SD, and PP. Consultants will also contribute to data migration, cutover activities, go-live support, production troubleshooting, documentation, and training.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead SAP FICO implementations, rollouts, and system enhancements.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into finance solutions.
  • Configure and support FI areas including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
  • Work with CO processes such as Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and COPA.
  • Drive finance process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
  • Handle data migration, cutover planning, and go-live support.
  • Integrate SAP FICO with MM, SD, and PP.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Support compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and local regulations.
  • Prepare functional specifications, documentation, and training materials.
  • Lead teams and mentor junior consultants for lead-level responsibilities.


REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering, BTech, BSc, or BCA.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong expertise in SAP FICO configuration and customization.
  • Hands-on experience with financial closing processes.
  • Experience with New Asset Accounting in S/4HANA.
  • Experience with Product Costing and COPA, including costing-based and account-based approaches.
  • Experience with S/4HANA Finance greenfield, brownfield, or rollout projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP integration with MM, SD, and PP.
  • Experience with interfaces such as IDocs, APIs, EDI, and CPI/PI/PO.
  • Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging and enhancements.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for Finance.
  • Domain experience in Banking – Products – FICO (SAP).
